Edge Computing is the way of operating data closer to the where it is created ("edge" of the network),instead of sending that data to the cloud. 

In Edge Computing , data is not being sent on distant distant clouds but data is processed on the local servers which are closer to the edge of network . This reduces the latency occurred during the processing of data and the Bandwidths are also saved because less amount of data is used to sent it over the network.

Edge computing is widely use in the Real world applications and in the context of the Internet Of Things (IOT) . The combination of IOT and the Edge Computing enables the new features such as : Smart City , Real-time data processing , offline functionality , Reduces the Bandwidth usage and improve the security and privacy .
